Following the wonderful night with the stars at the Opera House Theatre, in the Winter Gardens, Blackpool, in aid of the West Lancashire Masonic Charitable Foundation 2021 Festival, the organisers invited the president of the festival Tony Harrison to Blackpool Masonic Hall to receive a cheque for the final amount raised by ‘A Night with the Stars’.
Tony was accompanied by the vice president of the festival, David Winder, along with other members of the festival committee, Philip Preston, John Wrennall and Mark Holloway.
Also in attendance were Eric Young and Mark Smith who were the main organisers and producers of the event.
Tony thanked Eric and Mark for all their hard work booking all the stars who took part in the show and working with the staff at the Opera House to ensure the event ran smoothly.
Tony also thanked Lynn Fox who was representing all the stars and Arthur Casson and George Phillips who were assistant producers of the event.
Other people Tony thanked for their work were: Clive Tandy who signed up the show sponsors, Darren Busby for printing all the marketing material, Geoff Birkwood, Colin Goodwin and Steve Jelly for providing security on the night and Mel and Sarah, and all the staff at Blackpool Masonic Hall and all at Dehlias Kitchen for the after show buffet.
Councillor Lily Henderson MBE was singled out for all her assistance with the Mayor’s office.
Concluding Tony thanked the main sponsors: Peter Greathead, Jim Finnegan and Steve Jelly and all the brethren, their ladies, friends and families who attend the show and contributed to the wonder £20,141.19p for the West Lancashire 2021 MCF Festival.
