Empire shows steady growth

Empire Chapter No 3257 meets in the Egyptian Suite in Liverpool Masonic Hall and is moving ever closer to its centennial celebration in 2022. The chapter is showing a steady growth in membership, with another ceremony taking place at the last meeting. T

The chapter was opened in the usual manner by first principal Terry Forsyth, ably assisted by second principal Dave Jones, and acting third principal Mike Hilton. The first item was the investiture of officers who had been unable to attend the installation ceremony at their last meeting.

The next item on the agenda was an exaltation ceremony. The chapter was made ready and the candidate prepared outside, prior to being welcomed into Empire.

In an excellent ceremony, George Anderson of St Nicholas Lodge No 3620 was exalted into the chapter, with John Jackson taking the role of principal sojourner. On completion, John also delivered the full symbolic lecture to the new companion. It will be fresh in the mind of all those who took part, so there will be nothing to worry about for the next meeting, another exaltation ceremony.
