The lodge secretary Bill Kermode was quick to book the presentation when he read about on the Provincial website and was delighted that he was able to book it for the first day of the launch.
The WM David Colquhoun and the committee have set a very full programme for the year and the November meeting was the best opportunity to accommodate the presentation for which Liverpool Group Regional Care Officer, Cliff Hughes expressed his gratitude.
During the presentation Cliff was able to give a recent example of an instance where a widow of a former Liverpool lodge had rung the Freemasonry Cares helpline seeking assistance and this call, after due processing, had resulted in the provision of a motorised scooter, thus preserving much of the applicants independence.
At the end of the presentation the brethren showed their approval with acclamation. David Colquhoun commented that the presentation was most interesting and informative and would further strengthen the focus of the members in seeking out those in need.
The presentation completed the brethren adjourned to the wonderful dining room in the Adams suite where they enjoyed a wonderful and convivial social board
