British Transplant Games Liverpool, July 2016.

2016-04-08 10_22_13-ClipboardThe 2016 British Transplant Games will be held in Liverpool this summer, Thursday July 28th – Sunday 31st 2016 and will see teams from hospitals across the UK come together to compete in a number of different sports. The Games help to demonstrate the benefits of transplantation whilst increasing public awareness of the need for more people to join the NHS Organ Donation Register and discuss their wishes with their families.

In 2013, young Lauren Sampson, supported by the West Lancs Freemasons’ Charity, won five medals at the World Transplant games in Durban. Now we all have the opportunity to support the British event when it is held locally, by encouraging volunteers from local Groups to act as Event Ambassadors over the four days in July and at the same time support Freemasonry in the Community.

More details, including venues and timetables for each sport can be found at
http://www.britishtransplantgames.co.uk/

Whilst it is anticipated that volunteers may come mainly from the Liverpool, Gladstone, Bootle, Garston, Woolton, Widnes, Southport, Ormskirk, St Helens & Prescot and Warrington Groups, it is not intended to be exclusive.

If you would like to volunteer to help steward any of the events, please email Colin Rowling at chairman@sthelensandprescot.westlancsfreemasons.org.uk for an ‘Event Ambassador’ Application Form.
